We are seeking a reliable and experienced truck driver to join our team. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various destinations while ensuring timely and safe delivery.

 Duties:

 

Job Duties

• Loading and unloading trucks
• Completing a daily truck log and submitting mileage reports
• Complying with company and government regulations and rules
• Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any problems
• Securing cargo and dealing with hazardous materials safely, as needed
• Communicating with dispatchers and other drivers using onboard radios or computers
• Paying for goods and receiving payments from clients
• Drive large trucks over long distances, possibly crossing borders.
• Performing emergency repairs like patching tires when needed
• Ensure the long haul truck or transport truck is safe before leaving.
• Drive for long periods, often in heavy traffic.
• Make sure that the long haul truck or transport truck is maintained properly.
• Load and unload products to be delivered
• Add fuel and maintain detailed records of fuel costs and mileage
• Collect payment or get signatures for proof of delivery
• Ensure all items being delivered remain intact during transport and delivery
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations
